Wow, what a cool idea. I guess it's a marketing ploy to get people to buy more Monopoly board games, but it's cool that Google actually signed on to do this with them.
Unfortunately it's a bit sluggish and error-ridden on my computer at home. I'll have to try it at the faster Uni computers and start conquering the streets of Melbourne and beyond!
Good find!
It brings up the question: do people play as many board games as they used to, what with the internet, computer games, etc? Maybe this is trying to tap into that. I know I play board games at least once a fortnight, either at home, a friends place or at MyCube. Board games seem somehow more social and make a nice change from electronic entertainment!
Sorry, mucked up the link there. I hate how you can't edit comments on blogspot/blogger! I find their system overall rather frustrating!
Here's a link to MyCube's page, which will lead you to their Facebook if you're that way inclined. I recommend them! Good food, good board games!
Online monopoly seems to take away the fun of the hissy fits and cheating associated with most games of traditional monopoly. I guess if you're playing mostly with yourself, you'll never have that pain of having to sit through a game when you've gone broke!
